Leaders from the Aspen Global Innovators Group, in partnership with the Institute for Racial, Ethnic, and Socioeconomic Equity at George Washington University, will host a private roundtable highlighting efforts to address equity at a time when conversations around it are under attack both globally and domestically. This March,<\/span> Florida officials announced the elimination of 15 faculty and administration positions that focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).<\/span><\/a> More than 30 states in the U.S. are taking steps to halt the advance of DEI by introducing at least 100 bills aimed at restricting<\/span> DEI initiatives on college campuses.<\/span><\/a> The Supreme Court ruling<\/span><\/a> restricting race-conscious college admissions has chilled DEI efforts across all sectors. <\/span>Despite these setbacks, organizations across sectors are developing and promoting research, policy, and practice centered on DEI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This roundtable gathered up to 25 leaders from across sectors to foster policy dialogue within health globally and engage in a systems-focused conversation about equity, the language we use to discuss these problems, and community solutions to present problems.<\/span><\/p>\n
