He works on social inclusion as well as equitable court access for deaf people. He says marginalization of deaf people is rampant in Uganda, even though the country has officially recognized sign language. Marginalization \u201coccurs when everyday decisions and policies that influence deaf people\u2019s lives are decided without deaf people\u2019s input \u2013 a practice that perpetuates systematic discrimination and creates barriers to development,\u201d he says.
