She was appointed to that position in June 2017.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jacqueline\u2019s law firm represents investors in Africa as well as governments, but she increasingly finds herself engaged as another kind of advocate. \u201cI want to shift from deal making to mind shifting,\u201d Musiitwa says. \u201cLegal reform is intertwined with inclusive and sustainable development.\u201d Musiitwa\u2019s focus is now on the importance of good governance and rule of law, and on improving Africa\u2019s standing in the world.
