Kristina Saccone

As Deputy Director, Aspen Global Innovators Group and Aspen Forum on Women and Girls, Kristina works to strengthen operations, strategic programming, communications, and events strategies across all AGI programs. At the Aspen Institute since 2020, she previously directed issue-centered content series like Aspen Ignites and In Focus for the central Communications team.

Before joining the Institute in 2020, she led the digital team at Collaborative Communications Group, managing projects ranging from website redesign and digital tool development and content creation. Kristina previously founded and led her own strategic communications practice, called Partner + Purpose, and held leadership positions at the Donnell-Kay FoundationColorado Succeeds, and GreatSchools. She loves to create, write, and tell stories, something she did for nearly a decade as a reporter and producer at the PBS NewsHour, Colorado Public Radio, and Aspen Public Radio.

Kristina is a founding and current member of the Institute’s Task Force on Equity and Inclusion. She also was a founding steering committee member of Talk to Action, a Denver-based diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative.

She has a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University, a Bachelor’s degree from Colby College, and is pursuing a MFA in prose at Randolph College. A DC-area native, she lived in Colorado for 15 years before returning to the nation’s capital, where she lives with her partner, son, and two dogs.
