Announcement: AGI Leadership Update

AGI | January 28, 2026

In 2025, Aspen Global Innovators Group (AGI) reflected deeply on what it means to build a future rooted in well-being, kindness, and innovation. AGI reaffirmed its core belief that innovation is not only about new ideas, but about activating them through connection—bringing people together to drive transformative social impact and sustainable, positive change. We closed the year grounded in purpose and guided by possibility.

For AGI, innovation is shaped by lived experience, guided by care, and grounded in the understanding that those closest to challenges hold essential insight into how change happens. Entering the new year, AGI do so with clarity and intention, carrying forward the lessons, relationships, and imagination cultivated over the past year, alongside a renewed commitment to community-based innovation that begins locally and grows globally.

With that clarity, AGI is pleased to share that AGI’s founder, Peggy Clark, will continue to serve as Executive Director of AGI. This continuity in leadership reflects our shared confidence in the vision, values, and community-centered approach that have guided AGI from the beginning and continue to shape our future. Aspen Institute’s Executive Vice President, Policy Programs and International Partners, Elliot Gerson shares, “I am delighted that Peggy Clark will remain at the Institute as Executive Director of AGI. This continuity of leadership ensures that this important work continues with experience, care, and excellence – – and with Peggy’s singular wisdom and passion. I’m excited to see AGI build on its strong foundation and launch new and deeply impactful programming in the year ahead.”

As Peggy Clark shared, “This community has always been the heart of AGI. Our fellows, partners, and collaborators continue to show us what’s possible when innovation is grounded in lived experience, care, and collective action. I’m honored to continue leading this work alongside such a powerful community, and excited for what we will build together in the year ahead.”

In the coming months, AGI will be launching new programming designed to deepen connection, expand opportunity, and further support fellows and community leaders driving change in their communities.
