Cassia Herron

Cassia Herron is a visionary, bold leader, policy advocate and entrepreneur based in Kentucky who coaches local innovators to maximize their potential to help transform the food system. She is a co-founder of the Louisville Community Grocery, a full-service cooperatively owned grocery serving residents with limited or no access to food. With over 20 years of experience in community organizing and advocacy, her expertise helps community leaders discover their super powers and unlock capital to seed new ideas, programs and businesses. Her core belief is “if we change how we eat, we change how we live.”  Cassia is the Founder & CEO of Herron, Inc – a company that houses her work in the food, beverage and hospitality industries. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and earned a Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
