Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh is a Nigerian family physician, public health expert, and advocate for universal health care. She currently serves as Commissioner for Health in Rivers State and was formerly a Senior Medical Officer at Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health. A 2019 Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow, she previously led the Abuja Centre of the National Blood Transfusion Service (2009–2014), where she helped revise Nigeria’s National Blood Policy under the National Health Act of 2014.

Oreh earned her MBBS from the University of Nigeria, and holds postgraduate degrees in International Health Management from Imperial College London and Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians and is certified in health leadership and quality care by Harvard, the University of Washington, and the University of Bath.
