Egerton Neto is a policy expert and researcher focused on information integrity, climate communication, and technology governance. He serves as an Advisor at the International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE), an organization he helped establish, leading global research on climate misinformation, AI and elections, and digital platform accountability.

Egerton has advised the UN, UNESCO, and Brazil’s Supreme Court, and contributed to expert hearings at the EU on disinformation targeting marginalized communities. Currently a Fellow at Connected by Data, he works to strengthen democratic resilience and promote inclusive digital policy across Latin America and the Global South.
