Abhilasha is a lead microbiologist who has worked extensively on the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). She has conducted extensive studies on the epidemiology and evolution of enteric fever, caused by the bug Salmonella within Kathmandu, Nepal. Her research was awarded a graduate prize for outstanding contribution in public health. She is at the stage in her career where she wants to see her science and the threat of AMR communicated more effectively to a wider audience.
