Boaz

Boaz is the Head of Policy and Advocacy at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), based in Nairobi, which promotes better farming strategies for Africa. He has previously held senior roles with the Pan African Agricultural Reform Program and the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program at the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Boaz has been instrumental to using country-specific models and examples to chart new paths toward efficiency for Africa’s smallholder farmers. He holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University, Uganda, a BSc in Economics from the same university and a Diploma in Fisheries Policy, Planning and Management from United Nations University, Iceland. He’s also a smallholder farmer himself back home in Uganda, growing pineapples.
