Rubayat Khan is an innovator, builder, and entrepreneur with a track record of developing transformative solutions at the intersection of technology, data, and global development. He has founded two companies that have positively impacted millions of people and currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Endless Network, a U.S.-based family foundation. In this role, he explores uncharted frontiers and champions people-centered innovation in global health.
Rubayat is a leading expert in applying technology and data-driven approaches to the development sector. He is a co-founder of mPower Social Enterprises, an “impact intelligence” company that has operated in Bangladesh and over 15 other countries. mPower has enhanced the transparency, integration, and effectiveness of public and social services through platforms used by leading organizations such as BRAC, Johns Hopkins, UNICEF, Save the Children, and multiple Ministries of Health. The company also played a key role in developing the OpenSRP platform, which is endorsed by the World Health Organization.
In addition to mPower, Rubayat founded Jeeon, a venture that has built and organized the largest community of informal health providers in Bangladesh, including over 35,000 drug shops and “village doctors.” Jeeon has delivered telemedicine and pharmacy-based care to more than 50,000 patients and deployed over 25,000 community-based providers during the COVID-19 response.
Rubayat is also a technology enthusiast and AI advocate, deeply invested in exploring how Generative AI can address healthcare and education challenges in underserved, low-income populations. His work reflects a consistent focus on leveraging innovation for equity, inclusion, and systemic impact.
