Tsion Ghedamu is Deputy Director of Fellowships for the Aspen Global Innovators Group at the Aspen Institute. In this role, she leads the Healthy Communities Fellowship and helps shape the strategic direction, design, and execution of the Aspen Global Innovators Group’s fellowship portfolio. As Deputy Director, Tsion also supports AGI’s broader mission to elevate community-rooted leaders and accelerate health and development equity across the globe. She contributes to cross-sector partnerships, thought leadership development, and the identification of emerging global health and social impact trends to inform AGI’s programming.
Tsion believes that community-led approaches are inherently innovative and essential to reimagining what is possible in global development. Her work centers on amplifying the voices and leadership of individuals closest to the challenges they aim to solve.
Previously, Tsion worked in Ethiopia for a sexual and reproductive health organization and contributed to global vaccine strategy with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
