Lauren Muir

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, mental health innovator, and advocate who strives to eliminate barriers to ensure the mental well being of all Kentucky residents. As  the co-owner of Martin and Muir Counseling,  she builds collaborative, culturally responsible models that bridge clinical care ,community organizations, and public systems to better support underserved populations.Lauren has helped transform how mental health is accessed and experienced through large-scale initiatives like MindFEST, an annual community mental health festival, while also influencing statewide policy as the first woman of color appointed to the Kentucky Licensed Professional Counseling Board. Her work centers on rebuilding trust, reducing stigma, and creating sustainable pathways to care positioning her as a leading voice in advancing more inclusive and responsive mental health systems.
