Oluseun Onigbinde, born on 18 September 1985 in Osogbo, Nigeria, is a Nigerian entrepreneur, open data analyst, and advocate for fiscal transparency. He is the co-founder and CEO of BudgIT, a civic startup that promotes budget transparency and public engagement in governance. In 2012, he received the Future Awards Prize for Science and Tech Innovation. Known for his work in open data and public accountability, Onigbinde briefly served as Technical Adviser in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning in September 2019, a role he resigned from days after appointment amid public scrutiny.

A native of Masifa, Ogbomoso in Oyo State, Onigbinde attended Loyola College in Ibadan, where he achieved the best WAEC results of his class in 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and later completed an executive program in social entrepreneurship at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Onigbinde worked at Access Bank in Benin City before joining First Bank, where he spent over three years. It was during his time in the banking sector that he conceptualized BudgIT, driven by his interest in strategy and public innovation. He is a recipient of several awards and currently serves as an Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University. He also sits on the ONE Africa Policy Advisory Board, continuing his advocacy for good governance and data-driven civic engagement.
